Returns & Refunds
Our Return Policy
At La Giclée di Milano, every artwork is produced after an order is placed, according to the size option selected by the customer.
Because our artworks are produced specifically following each order, we do not offer any additional voluntary return or exchange policy beyond the rights provided by applicable consumer law.
Aesthetic preference, suitability for your interior, colour preferences, perceived size or appearance in your space, or a subsequent change of mind do not constitute a product defect or lack of conformity.
Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or replaces any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
Statutory Right of Withdrawal
For consumer purchases made online within the European Union, a statutory right of withdrawal may apply, subject to the applicable legal requirements, conditions and exceptions.
Where applicable, the withdrawal period is generally 14 days from the day on which the consumer receives the goods.
Certain categories of goods may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal under applicable law, including goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised goods where the relevant legal requirements for the exception are met.
The applicability of any statutory exception depends on the characteristics of the product and the circumstances of the individual order.
If you wish to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, please contact us through our Contact Us page within the applicable period and clearly inform us of your decision.
Where a valid right of withdrawal applies, the artwork must be returned in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed by us, the direct cost of returning the artwork is borne by the customer.
Any refund will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Damaged Artwork During Delivery
Please inspect the package and the artwork carefully when your order is delivered.
If the package appears damaged, we strongly recommend taking clear photographs of the package before opening it and during the opening process.
If the artwork has been damaged during transportation, please:
- Take clear photographs of the package and the damaged artwork.
- Where possible, report the damage to the carrier at the time of delivery.
- Request a damage report or other written confirmation from the carrier, where available.
- Contact us through our Contact Us page and provide the photographs and any available documentation.
A carrier damage report can be very useful when investigating a transport claim. However, the absence of such a report does not limit or replace any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Please do not return or dispose of a damaged artwork before contacting us and receiving our instructions, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Production Errors or Lack of Conformity
If the artwork you receive has a production defect or does not correspond to your order, please contact us and provide clear photographs showing the issue.
Examples may include:
- the wrong artwork being produced or sent;
- an incorrect size being supplied;
- a significant printing or production defect;
- visible ink, colour or other production problems;
- damage attributable to the production process; or
- the artwork not corresponding to the characteristics of the product ordered.
We will assess the reported issue and, where a lack of conformity is established, provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Where permitted and appropriate, this may include producing and sending a replacement artwork.
If repair or replacement is not possible or is not completed as required by law, other statutory remedies may apply.
Replacement of a Defective Artwork
Where a production defect or other lack of conformity is confirmed, we will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may resolve the issue by producing and sending a replacement artwork.
Depending on the circumstances, we may ask you not to return the defective artwork and instead provide photographs or other evidence of the issue.
In appropriate cases, we may instruct you to dispose of the defective artwork rather than return it, while we arrange the production and shipment of a replacement.
Such instructions will be provided on a case-by-case basis and do not affect any mandatory rights available to the consumer under applicable law.
Legal Guarantee of Conformity
All mandatory statutory consumer rights remain fully applicable.
For consumer purchases in Italy, new goods are generally covered by a two-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery.
Where a lack of conformity exists, consumers are entitled to the remedies provided by applicable law, which may include repair or replacement and, where the relevant legal conditions are met, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace those statutory rights.
Production and Dispatch Records
Every artwork is inspected before shipment.
We also maintain photographic and, where applicable, video records of the artwork during the production and dispatch process.
These records allow us to verify the condition and characteristics of the artwork when it was prepared and handed to the carrier and help us investigate any reported production or transport issue.
